HEALTH
Free medical camps Seva Bharati Meghalaya are set up with a sacred aim to bring awareness amongst the deprived population of the Khasi and Jaintia Hills region, who have no access to basic healthcare facilities or knowledge about the diseases they are suffering from. Free medical camps provide free medical advice and medicines to these people and refer them for specialized treatment or surgery whenever required.
Medical camps are conducted by experienced health professionals as a voluntary service for the underprivileged
community, who have limited access to the medical facilities. These people attend such free medical camps for check-up and treatment. Proper examinations and tests conducted at the early stages of the illness can help to cure it faster and save a life before it can cause any damage. One can live long and be healthy only with the right kind of health check-up and treatment. Even the most preliminary checkups can identify certain underlying illnesses and help the patients get proper treatment thereof.
Village Health Works’ mission is to provide quality and compassionate healthcare in a dignified environment, while also addressing the root causes of illness, poverty, violence, and neglect in many parts of Meghalaya state.
